Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

To generate AI answers beside your Google search results, the SnapAnswer extension sends the following to our server (api.search.labkitpro.com):

• The search query you typed, and
• The titles, URLs, and text snippets of the top Google results shown on the page (as parsed locally in your browser).

For logged-in users we also store your email address (for account and subscription status). Anonymous users are identified only by a random per-install ID stored locally on your device.

2. How we use it

The query and result data are sent to a large-language-model API (DeepSeek / OpenAI) solely to produce your answer. We do not use your search data for advertising, profiling, or training models for unrelated purposes.

3. Sharing with third parties

Your query and result text are transmitted to our LLM provider (DeepSeek / OpenAI) as part of generating the answer. Payment is processed by Dodo Payments, which receives your email and billing details when you subscribe. We do not sell your data.

4. Retention & deletion

Anonymous usage counters expire after 24 hours. Account records (email + plan) are kept while your account is active. Pro users may have a rolling list of recent searches stored to power the History feature; this list holds at most 30 entries and can be cleared on request. To delete your account and data, email [email protected] and we will erase your records within 30 days.

5. Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit over HTTPS. API access requires a session token; free anonymous usage is rate-limited.
